Channel Manager for Hotels, Motels, Apartments and Resorts

A channel manager is the piece of software that keeps one accurate picture of what your property has to sell and pushes it to every place you sell it. Levart’s channel manager booking platform connects your rooms to more than 100 online travel agents, wholesalers, metasearch engines and GDS partners, holds them all against one pool of inventory, and sends bookings back into your property management system without anyone retyping them, to the depth your PMS connection supports. Set a rate once and it reaches every channel. Sell the last room and it closes everywhere at the same moment.

What a channel manager does for your property

Most properties arrive at a channel manager after the same three problems. Rates that are right on one channel and stale on another. A room sold twice on a Friday afternoon. And an hour a day spent logging into extranets to copy numbers between them. Channel management for a hotel is the work of removing all three, and it comes down to four things happening automatically.

One pool of inventory, not a set of allocations

Rather than holding three rooms back for Booking.com, two for Expedia and the rest for your own website, every channel sells from the same pool. Nothing sits unsold because it was allocated to a channel that did not use it, and nothing gets sold twice because two channels each thought they owned it.

Rates and restrictions set once

Nightly rates, minimum length of stay, closed to arrival and closed to departure, and any distribution changes you want during a busy period are entered in one calendar and pushed out from there. You choose which rates and which inventory levels go to which channel, so a wholesale rate and a public rate stay properly separated while drawing on the same rooms.

Bookings that arrive ready to use

Every reservation, amendment and cancellation from every connected channel lands in one place with the guest details, dates, rate plan and payment status attached. No morning routine of checking five extranets to find out what came in overnight.

A link to your PMS

The channel manager is not a replacement for your property management system, it feeds it. Where the connection runs both ways, bookings flow in and are assigned a room, and availability changed at the front desk flows back out to the channels. The depth of that connection varies by PMS, and the systems Levart connects to are listed in the interface guide.

Experience superior connectivity

Connectivity is the part of a channel manager you notice only when it fails, so it is the part Levart is measured on. Levart offers more than 100 interfaces to the OTAs, GDS platforms, metasearch engines and wholesale sites Australian and New Zealand properties actually use, and was again awarded Premier Connectivity Partner status by Booking.com in 2021. Connections are monitored continuously rather than checked when something goes wrong.

  • Connecting your property to the channels you need
  • Levart offers 100+ interfaces to the most popular OTA, GDS, metasearch engines and wholesale sites
  • Efficient syncing, providing continuous updates of rates, availability and bookings
  • Awarded Premier status Connectivity Partner by Booking.com in 2021 (again!)

Take complete control of your distribution

Control is the other half of the job. A channel manager that pushes everything everywhere is easy to build and hard to run a property with. Levart’s is built so you decide what each channel sees: which rates, how much inventory, which restrictions, and when that changes. During a peak week you can tighten minimum stays and close arrivals on the channels you want to protect, without touching the ones you want to keep selling.

  • You choose the rates and inventory levels sent to each OTA
  • Pooled inventory maximises your chance of selling rooms
  • Set MLOS, closed for arrivals/departures and adjust distribution during busy periods
  • You control when and where your rooms are sold

Save time and make your life easier

  • One system to manage all connected channels
  • PMS connectivity optimises your booking management
  • Highly functional and easy-to-use calendar automates rates and inventory for advanced planning
  • Accessible anywhere on any device
  • A strong channel manager will automatically update rates and availability across your hotel reservation system, preventing double bookings.

On-going support to guide you through

Software is only half of what a property is buying. Levart’s Client Success Team is based in Australia and New Zealand, is included rather than tiered, and starts with a consultation about which channels are right for your property rather than a login and a manual. Connectivity is monitored on your behalf, training is guided, and performance reporting is there to be read with someone rather than exported and ignored.

  • Extensive consultation to determine which channels are right for your property
  • We continually monitor all channel connectivity
  • Our experienced Client Success Team are available to support you whenever you need, via phone or email
  • Guided training resources and online success reviews
  • Insightful data and reporting to manage your performance
  • For maximum efficiency, ensure your channel manager syncs seamlessly with your online hotel booking system to prevent overbookings and double handling.

Channel manager questions properties ask

What is a channel manager?

A channel manager is software that connects your property’s rooms, rates and availability to every channel that sells them, and keeps all of them in step automatically. Change a rate once and every connected OTA, wholesaler, metasearch engine and GDS receives it. Take a booking anywhere and availability drops everywhere.

Will a channel manager stop overbookings?

That is the main reason properties buy one. Because every channel sells from the same pooled inventory rather than from its own allocation, the last room closes across all channels at the same moment. Overbookings caused by two channels selling the same room stop.

Do I still need a property management system?

Yes. The channel manager handles distribution; the PMS runs the property. Levart connects to the property management systems most operators already run, including AbodeBooking, Mews, RMS, REI Cloud and Opera, so bookings from any channel can be assigned a room in your PMS and front-desk changes flow back out to the channels. The depth of that connection varies by PMS, so ask us about the one you run.

How many channels can I connect?

More than 100 interfaces are available, covering the major OTAs, wholesale sites, metasearch engines and GDS platforms, plus property management systems, payment gateways and revenue tools. The full list is in the interface guide.

Can rates change automatically as I fill up?

Yes, with automatic rate management. You set the rules by occupancy and days of lead time, and rates are recalculated and pushed to every connected channel every 30 minutes, around the clock.

How long does it take to get connected?

Typically one to four weeks from signing, and Levart works to the property’s own timeframes. The Client Success Team sets up and maps each interface for you.
