Every channel interface below is a live, two-way connection. A booking that lands on any channel reduces your availability everywhere else within moments, a rate you change once reaches every connected channel, and, depending on how deeply your property management system connects, a reservation reaches it without being typed in twice. What a hotel reservation system actually does
A reservation system for a hotel, motel, apartment block or resort has one job: to hold a single, accurate picture of what you have to sell, at what price, and to let every channel and every guest book against it without anyone double-handling the data. In practice that breaks into four pieces of work, and Levart’s platform is built around all four.
Inventory in one place
Your rooms, apartments or sites are held as pooled inventory. Rather than allocating three rooms to Booking.com, two to Expedia and keeping the rest for your own website, every channel sells from the same pool. Your own website is a channel too

OTAs are online travel companies who display and sell your rooms on their websites on your behalf. Through the reservation system, each OTA below receives your live rates and availability and returns its bookings automatically. What is a hotel reservation system?
A hotel reservation system is the software that holds your rooms, rates and availability in one place and lets every sales channel, including your own website, book against it. It receives reservations from OTAs, wholesalers, GDS and direct bookings, keeps availability in sync across all of them, and passes bookings through to your property management system, to the depth that connection supports.
Is a reservation system the same as a channel manager?
They overlap. A channel manager is the part of the reservation system that distributes rates and availability to third-party channels and pulls their bookings back. Levart’s platform includes channel management, a direct booking engine and the reservation management that ties them together.
Does Levart connect to my property management system?
Levart integrates with the property management systems listed on this page, including Abode, Mews, RMS, GuestPoint, Opera by Oracle and others, and those connections are live two-way interfaces.
